Three ways to get HD football

As the NFL season draws to a close, the remaining play-off games are split between Fox (NFC) and CBS (AFC), with the Super Bowl airing on ABC on February 5. And all are airing in sumptuous high-definition. To catch all the action, you’ll need to have an HDTV and–here’s the catch–the ability to get the high-definition versions of those three channels. Depending on how you receive your HDTV programming–cable, satellite, or an over-the-air antenna–you may not be able to see all of the games in HD. Check out our guide to make sure you’ll be able to go wide for the big game.

High-Definition Cable TV arrives with Windows Vista MCE

One of the single most asked for Media Center feature enhancements in the Media Center 2005 newsgroup has been the ability to watch and record high-definition television. During the CES opening keynote, device support for cable cards was previewed. Cable card technology will enable HD viewing and recording in Windows Vista with Media Center for users in the United States.
